You couldn’t find Cambio de Dinero (Currency Exchange) anywhere in a very busy place in Miraflores, Lima. You wonder why, Miraflores is a tourist place, you could see lots of guest houses, internet place, coffee shop. But not a single place to change your money.
Ok, these are some city scenes of Miraflores:
Until you got back to your guest house and the guest house owner start questioning you, what’s wrong with you?. There are too many out there on the street. I thought I might have missed it. Turned out he was refering to some dudes wearing a yellow/green vest with a huge $ at the back of his vest.
I start laughing at myself, you stupid woman. I’ve seen those people since yesterday!!! And there are many of them on the street. I just thought they’re some security guys.
When…You’re watching a football tournament on TV held in high altitude place at Cerro de Pasco (4338M). It’s a University football tournament and the player looking like shit desperate trying to get some air during the game. At the end of the game, you saw some players are on oxygen mask before they went to the podium grabbing the trophy.
Oh, just in case you are less familiar where Peru is located, here it is:
Back to the story:
When.. you felt sick on your bus journey, not because of the motion but from the high altitude. The night bus journey from Lima to Huaraz is about 9 hours. In the middle of the night you can start feeling uneasy feeling on your chest, slight headache appeared.. Once I reached Huara( 2910M ) I checked my altimeter, turned out we gained 3900M within couple of hours at one stage during the bus journey. Go figure…

What a story!
The city looks beautiful, anyway.
