Guslin Kamase
Lieutenant Colonel Guslin Kamase was born in Majene, West Sulawesi, Indonesia. The location of this city is close to the area where “Adam Air” Plane felt down to the sea on 1st of January 2007. After joining with Indonesian Naval Academy in 1990, he was successfully commissioned as Marine Officer in 1993. After 3 years of service, he was then got married to Ema Fitri Kurniasih and, at present, having 3 children, two boys and one daughter. Currently lives in Surabaya with his beloved family. As going through his military service experiences, he had opportunity of completing his assignments being Platoon and Company Commander from 1994 to 2002. Further to the career track, he assumed a post of Cadet Battalion CO in Naval Academy until 2004, upon his completion of Officer Advance Course. In 2008, graduated from the Indonesian Naval Staff and Command College with excellent achievement. Following of the college, he was then assigned as the 1st Marine Battalion CO in Surabaya. As marine officer, further embarked to international assignment under the UN peacekeeping mission assumed the role as Military Observer at MONUC in DRC for a period of one year (2005 to 2006). Within three years after, another opportunity landed him to undertake the task as the Indonesian Battalion Second-in-Command serving under UNIFIL mandate in Lebanon. The battalion is known as the Garuda Contingent XXIII-D/UNIFIL, is the fourth Indonesian Mechanized Military Contingent serving the mission .
