Let. Col. Hilman Hadi recently arrived in Liberia in late 2006, embarking to his second UN Peacekeeping Mission assignment at UNMIL, as team leader of the Indonesian KONGA XXI-4.
He was formerly assigned to UNIKOM (United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission) based in Kuwait City with extensive traveling to the borders.
He is not a new comer in field peacekeeping system. The mission, UNIKOM, was established in April 1991 following the forced withdrawal of Iraqi forces from Kuwait. Its task was to monitor the demilitarized zone along the Iraq-Kuwait border, deter border violations and report on any hostile action. The mandate of the Mission was completed on 6 October 2003. attended IPOS (International Peace Operation Seminar) in Australia 2005, Have been with the Indonesian Army since 1988, enjoy any kind of playing sports, loves trekking/travelling, other interests would include gourmet cooking.
