Vonny FERDINANDUS

Recently joined UNMIL in September 2007. Initially embarked to peacekeeping field since 2003 in Dili, Timor – Leste under the World Food Programme (WFP). Though this would be the first african-based mission, post-conflict assignment is nothing new to her, as progressive expertise in the field of finance. Developing more local contacts, trying new regional cooking recipes,meeting new friends while serving in Liberia – West Africa, Vonny is contributing further to the peace process and the stories continues.

Luigi PRALANGGA

A United Nations (UN) staff member, currently serving at his second mission assignment in Monrovia, Liberia. Has joined the UN at its headquarters’ office in New York and previously been assigned to the UN Weapons Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC), stationed in Baghdad, Iraq in 2003.

A culinary expert by force, trying out new recipes from the internet and local recipes of places he’s been to, rather than taking take-out dinner. Apart from cooking, he enjoys writing and treking the interior, from the neighborhood around the compound in Monrovia, to the regions of Liberia’s county provices. A photography enthusiast, and currently continues taking vast collection of pictures for his material ideas to write a comedy novel later.
